2005 Domaine la Roquete, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Brunier, Chateauneuf-du-Pape

Product: DROQ05
Vintage: 2005
Region: Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Bottle Size: 75cl
Grape Variety: Grenache Syrah Mourvedre
Maturity: Ready to drink, but will improve
The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits much more tannin, structure, and a more closed personality than its counterpart in 2006. The wine has a dark ruby/purple-tinged color (darker than the 2006), a rather firm mouthfeel with more animal characteristics, some dark berry fruit, high tannin, medium to full body, and good acidity. This wine needs to be forgotten for 2-3 years and drunk over the following 15.
Score: 89 Robert Parker

Our Tasting Note
Nose: Deep and rich with ripe red fruit, licorice and animal leather.
Palate: Medium bodied, jammy with silky tannins. Aroma of ripe red fruit with herbs, spices and chocolate. It is a sexy wine with animal feel, wild and creamy! Nice to have try!
Our Score: 91 H&E
